The Diary of a Brand Addict

About Me

Growing up in a middle-class suburban neighborhood in Tampa, Florida didn’t allow for frivolous spending, but my mother always instilled a sense of consumer consciousness.

We bought certain brands because they were better. When I was allowed to start wearing make-up, it was Clinique or nothing else.  When I needed my first real bra, we went straight to Victoria’s Secret. There were certain brands that my mother was willing to pay more for. She instilled a sense of quality in me with consuming things that really mattered.

So, even now, I will save my money and buy myself something of quality, a reliable brand and a good company that I’m devoted to supporting. Even though I’m in college, even if my mom doesn’t buy my clothes anymore, I’m still devoted to products and brands that are better. They may be cheaper, they may be more expensive, but they are worth the investment either way.

I’m a consumer with a conscience.
